The month of September was mostly positive for certain automotive manufacturers. Mercedes-Benz USA saw record third quarter sales, Kia Motors America had the best first nine months is sales ever, So did Hyundai and Porsche. Here’s a quick look at how some of the most popular automotive manufacturers performed in the month of September.
Yesterday Mercedes-Benz USA(MBUSA) reported they saw an increase of 1.7% in September with sales of 29,500 vehicles. It was a record quarter for the automotive giant that saw 29,020 vehicles sales during September of 2015. Among the strongest leaders in sales were the C-Class with 6,600 units, GLC with 4,873 and E-Class at 4,824(including the CLS) being sold.
Mercedes-Benz Vans also benefited from a strong month with its best-ever September sales of 2,970 units which are up by a solid 28.2%

Kia Motors America
Kia Motors America also saw strong growth as it pushed 49,220 units in September 2016. During that month, the Kia Forte experienced it’s the best performance in sales.
So far, already the company’s year-to-date sales are up 3.3%. Despite a slowing global economy, Kia remains high with sales as buyers are eager to jump in the popular Kia Sportage.

Hyundai Motor America
Hyundai Motor America which owns a 34% stake in Kia, also saw record September sales, with a 4% increase year-over-year. Hyundai Motor America managed to push 66,610 units in the month which can be attributed by the Santa Fe and Santa Fe Sport.
A veteran in the automotive industry, Hyundai is ramping up its luxury section with the Genesis G80 mid-luxury sedan and the flagship Genesis G90 making their way to dealerships.

Porsche Cars North America, Inc.
The World famous sports car maker Porsche also reported record September sales of 4,479 vehicles, which represents a 1.2% increase from the same month in 2015.
The Macan which is the company’s compact SUV was the volume leader with 1,998 units sold. This is a 72.2% increase compared to the same month of last year.
Subaru of America
Likewise, Subaru of America also reported record September sales of 54,918 units which are up 3.5% over the same month of 2015. The company also reported 31 consecutive months of the Subaru Outback selling more than 10,000 units and 38 consecutive months of the Forester selling more than 10,000 units.
