Yesterday, Honda unveiled the 2018 Odyssey at the 2017 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
With advanced new features and an upgraded design, the 2018 Odyssey is their best minivan yet.
The minivan market may not be as popular as it once was, as more people are choosing attractive crossovers for hauling people and their cargo. This hasn’t stopped automotive manufacturers such as Kia, Chrysler, Nissan, Toyota and Honda from continuing to sell minivans to growing families.
Still, few vehicles can move cargo and people as versatile as the minivan.
The 2018 Honda Odyssey builds upon what makes this vehicle the most popular in its market segment by offering loads of tech and refinement.
With a family friendly design and thoughtfulness to room and comfort, this Odyssey features a new 7-inch, full-color TFT display, and an available center 9-inch touchscreen for EX models and above.
The new Display Audio system is where you’ll expect to find all your infotainment controls. There are new audio and telematics features to satisfy tech-savvy drivers which also includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
4G LTE, Wi-Fi connectivity options are available to buyers, which allows for streaming media through the rear entertainment system via public Wi-Fi or through a hotspot on your smartphone.
The CabinTalk feature an absolute blessing for parents with children. CabinTalk lets drivers communicate with the second and third-row passengers, through the speakers and rear entertainment system headphones.
CabinWatch, enables drivers to keep a watchful eye on the second and third-row through the 8-inch monitor, which is a dream feature for parents with small children.
John Mendel, Executive Vice President of American Honda Motor Co., Inc.:

Powering the 2018 Honda Odyssey is a 3.5-liter direct injection i-VTEC engine, which produces 280 horsepower. There’s also a 9-speed and a 10-speed automatic transmission developed by Honda.
The new Magic Slide seats allow for passengers to get in and out of the second and third-row easily, through a lateral motion once the middle seat is removed.
With more options for versatility and comfort, the new Odyssey may just take the top spot(again) for minivans. It becomes available later in the Spring of 2017.
